I work with Appalachian Power Company a subsidiary of American Electric Power. We provide electricity to 11 different states. As of next Tuesday I will have 34 years with this company and will be 3 1/2 yrs. away from retiring!!! We are in a hiring freeze at the present. A "Do more with Less" atmosphere. I collect data from substations and transfer that data from a laptop to the company's HQ in Columbus, Ohio. That data is used to determine the maintenance schedules of power transformers, circuit breakers, circuit switchers, etc. 12kv, 34.5kv. 46kv. 69kv. 88kv. 138kv. 345kv. 500kv. and 765kv. are the voltages we deal with. If your lights are on....I did a good job today. If they're off....I'll do my best.

WAS recently in Army Aviation as a Blackhawk pilot (assault/MEDEVAC) for 9 years. Now, I've successfully transitioned as a Helicopter EMS pilot with Air Methods within the last month. If there's any other military folks getting out that have questions, don't hesitate to email.

Wow , what an impressive group. Before I retired I was an officer with a fortune 50 company. our job was to design,prototype , tool, and manufacture automoble parts. Our customers and manufacturing were world wide. My responsibiliteies were to run a very small portion of the company. I was responsible for 240 million in sales. I had 10 manufacturing plants, a research center along with engineering and design as well as sales ,accounting etc.
I consulted some after retirement , but I hated the travel since I traveled so much in my work ,so I quit.
