First post on the board, but I read a lot and will try and post more. I figure this is a good place to break my 247 cherry though:

I am currently a teaching fellow at The University of Pittsburgh Graduate School of Public Health, but I am looking to make a move, so this may need to be updated pretty soon.

I got my BS in Biology at Virginia Tech in 2001

I got my Masters from Virginia Tech in Food Microbiology in 2004. My concentration was food security and pathogenic bacteriology.

I received my PhD from the University of Pittsburgh Graduate School of Public Health in Epidemiology.

I have taught, consulted, and published quite a bit, and am ready to leave Academia for a while.

I am looking to move into the field of agro-terrorism preparedness and outbreak response.

My long term goal is a faculty position back at Virginia Tech at either the medical school or the school of public health that they are working hard to put together right now. Virginia is a fantastic state with a top notch health department but is yet to have an accredited PhD level school of public health. I am hoping the first one will be in the NRV, though VCU/MCV is also currently working on putting together a program. The last place that I want to be right now is a University though. I want to get my hands and feet dirty for a while, so this is a long term goal.

So I am a microbiologist and an epidemiologist, I guess....
