Sounds like a good kid where ever he goes that team will get a great prospect. I doubt he is tried at TE unless he is just amazing with Buster, Owens, Rainey, Adams I might be forgetting someone but they are all legit TE so IMO (which don't mean nothing) he will be LB cause that is what we need and he will have the chance to play early there. Go Gamecocks

2011 5 LB's signed 2012 2 LB's signed 2013 3 LB's committed
Not the best looking depth chart. Although they were almost all 3* kids so it looks crowded but not necessarily over talented.

Either school would be a great choice. Too many connections with SC and I personally think he will end up in Cola. Why dont we get a thread going to have SC and VT play in ATL to open up the football season. So much better than UT and NCST. Just a fun thought.

Granted, the SEC is the top conference in the country. But,what is the advantage of playing in that conference? A better chance to go to the NFL? Nope. VT and the ACC puts plenty of players there. A better chance at winning a MNC? Maybe if you are at Bama,LSU,or Auburn. USC is ,and will continue to be, a mid level SEC school with occasional spurts. VT may never win a MNC,but the odds are more in their favor with less competition in conference and marque games in the next few years against Alabama,Ohio State, and Wisconsin. How about education? The latest US News Report ranks VT 71 and USC 111. I speak from personal experience about USC`s academic reputation. My daughter was a highly recruited volleyball player several years ago.USC was on her early and she really liked the coaches. She was leaning towards them early in the recruiting process. As we did more analysis,it became clear that USC did not compare academically with other schools recruiting her. Now,Rolin may not be concerned about that. But,speaking as a parent,it was a factor with me.An athlete is just one injury away from being a regular student.
