Wow!!!! The so called rumors are no longer rumors; but in fact, Truth!! There are people on the boards that bash the 757. I spoke with one of the writers from VTScoop and he asked me if he could interview my son. I told him, absolutely!!! I even invited him to our Sunday afternoon workout at the Virginia Beach Sportsplex 1pm-3pm. I only asked that he would give me a heads up call for a field pass. I don't know of any coach in our camp that would discourage an athlete from going to a program. This is not about a coach, but 110% about the student/athletes. If Tech is willing to invest a $300,000 scholarship in a athlete, who are we or anyone else for that matter to tell them no, don't go to Tech. I don't have $300,000 plus laying around and neither do these coaches. We welcome all to come out; Caution!! If you Mr. Maximus show up, Please do not insinuate anything to the athletes or parents and please do not instigate accusations and arguments. Best Regards to the rest of my new friends!!!

Wow!! I did not know about that. It seems as though there are some deep rooted issues that exceed that of recruiting the 757. Nevertheless, this thread is about my son. However, I am man enough to apologize for them: so please except my apology!! My focus is my son, not my pride or status. I will be in Blacksburg on April 6; hopefully some will come out to see a workout. Grace and Peace!!

I saw Aaron play last year at PA's home games. I used to live in Thalia, and had some very close ties to both the boys and girls soccer teams at PA. I had the pleasure of awarding a scholarship to a Princess Anne senior in memory of my daughter, who embodied the character and qualities that my daughter embraced during her life. It meant a lot to me and my wife, and we hold a special place to the athletic family at PA.
Don't worry about posters like the guy above, that you responded to. Its not even necessary to respond.
We got your back.

Yes, early on Tech was actually a high favorite for Aaron. Then he was a little discouraged by not being invited out. Then recently recruiting movement began to place. I'm sure there is a love for Tech as one of his top schools. To back my words up, go on Rivals and look at his interview with Mike Ferrell from last year at the Ultimate 100 camp. He talks about Tech and UVA being his two top schools. Since then we have visited ECU about 3 times, HU and Clemson. We are on schedule to visit Virginia Tech, Temple, Maryland, Cincinnati, WVU, Pitt, Uconn, Richmond and Ohio State. But if I was to guess at it, his top schools would be: VT, ECU, Temple, UVA and HU. He has a ton of interest; from Michigan, Miami, Florida State, Pitt, NC State, Syracuse, Maryland, Yale, Liberty and other schools.

Man, sorry to hear about your daughter... I have two of my own, and whenever I hear about someone losing a son or daughter = instant tears. I was not really like that (as much as I am now) before I had kids.... Good way to honor your daughter-- helping someone achieve a dream. Props.

For some reason, the VT staff as a whole, seems late to the party a lot of the times, with regards to recruiting. I wouldn't read anything into it.
Also, with regards to the few people that may sweat you, it is a possibility that they are hoos posing as Hokies. It sure has happened a lot recently in an effort to troll this site. Not saying it would definitely be one, but it is becomming more frequent.

I am always amazed how UCONN and UMD always seem to pull the trigger on recruits in Virginia before VT does, especially some of the "out of spotlight" players.
They must have a network in the state, or perhaps are buying information from some in state enterprise. I can't understand how they could otherwise be quicker to evaluate the worth of Virginia talent.
There's a very well connected HS coach down here in Mississippi that appraises talent via hudl film, and then notifies various college coaches via email and sometimes social media. I think he runs a camp or two, and perhaps that is his motivation, but it is rampant down here in SEC country. I know that player assessments and evaluations are important, and it appears to be a tangential profit center for football savvy entrepreneurs.
I noticed that he tweets with many of the top talent in Virginia, and I've also seen him tweet Shane on numerous occasions regarding deep south talent that apparently Shane has an interest in, mostly DBs and RBs. Interesting stuff.

I'm sorry for your lost!! It is nerve recline for me to even think about such a thing. I pray that God will continue to Bless, keep and comfort you and your family. Both of my sons knew of her. It truly is a blessing that you do what you do for the sake of other children. I have been a single father since 1997. I have two sons, my oldest is Isaiah 19 and Aaron 17. Isaiah was diagnosed with CIDP Chronic Inflammatory demolilating Polyneropathy, at the age of 12. It is a syndrome that allows your white blood cells to eat your nerves. He is supposed to be deceased according to doctors; but God delivered him. Out of that traumatic time a book was produced; Turning the Hearts of Fathers Back to Their Children. I pray your strength!!!!

So i'm a bad guy for wanting to get someone's reaction to obvious and blatant attacks and threats towards VT by parents of and coaches of these players? Carson Cutler posted that himself on UVa's board. Alex Rayner posted that himself on twitter. No one made them do that. Am I accusing you of being part of that? Or condoning it? Absolutely not. From reading your posts you seem like a man of high character and great moral values. I am simply asking you your thoughts on it as a parent who happens to have a son who is being recruiting from that area.
