He's apparently staying. We'll see if that actually happens or not but for now, his Pop said he believes the school.
IMO, if Redd leaves it could open the floodgates. He's apparently one of the real leaders on the team. Surprising that he would leave and especially to go that far from home in his Sr. season. But nothing in this story really surprises me anymore.

Guys this is no different than on the recruiting trail. These are still kids who for the most part, have NO vision. Heck there are alot of adults with no vision. How many kids went to UNC and Miami and never thought for a minute what the future might bring. The ones that stay will be kicking themselves in a year or two!!!

Maybe they just like the school? They have every right to pick the school they want to spend the 4-5 years of their life at, just as many of us chose VT. How many of us were complaining when a player like Cornell Brown picked VT over other programs that were playing much better than us at the time? While we were just bad and not necessarily on probation at the time, it turned out to be a good situation. Same could happen for these kids. Don't think we should bash kids for going to a place they want to be at.

Not bashing anyone! If you look at it purely from a football stand point (which is what I am doing) how much fun could you possibly have 3 years from now getting your tails whipped game in and game out and no real chance to get better...no bowls...no possible chance to play for conference or national championships! There is a tremendous amount of sacrifice made to play college football and the reward for that scarifice is to win and have a chance to play for championships. Cornell had the opportunity to improve the team and win championships! These guys dont have a snow ball's chance!!! I am just saying that alot of these kids dont have enough vision to see what is coming! That is not uncommon for kids that age! They are acting on emotion. Now if all they wanted to do was get an education from PSU and football was secondary then staying is the right option!
