Playing at High Point right now. We were down 2-1 and have exploded in the 7th and now the 8th innings. We have the bases loaded, nobody out and have scored 1 run already in the inning. Hope we can add some more and finish this game out and improve to 7-2.

As I finished typing that out, Chad Morgan just doubled in 2 runs to push the lead to 8-2. Still nobody out, 2nd and 3rd. A game that was in doubt now looks to be in the bag.
A HBP, 1B, and BB start the inning for High Point to load the bases. They then get a 2-run single and 2 RBI ground outs before we were able to get out of the inning.
High Point leads off the bottom of the 9th with a single, but reliever Jake Joyce quickly gets out of trouble by getting a double play. A line out to 1B ends the game. Hokies win 10-6 and improve their record to 7-2. First home series of the year this weekend, we have a 4 game set against Yale!
jnl what do you think of this teams chances to make the post season?
I want to wait until after ACC play starts before I make an assessment on that. We will have a MUCH better grasp of the team this year after the series at UVA in 2 weeks, and then the series at Georgia Tech the weekend after. We havent played that great of competition yet outside of Coastal (a big win for us), but we have pitched well and shown the ability to battle back from adversity.
I like the senior leadership and experience on this team at key positions. I really like our starting pitching, Mantiply especially, and I love how Chad Pinder has been playing. I think we have the talent to make an NCAA regional this year, but we played really poorly in the ACC last season. Id like to see us have some success in conference before I predict the postseason for this team.
