SEC train is pulling out of the station. Time to hop aboard or be left behind!

Ugh, will be a committee based decision. There needs to be set criteria as to how you make the playoff. They're just going to choose the programs that get them the most cheddar. I'm not sure if having a committee select is good for the ACC because it means that we will have a chance to get in the playoff without being a Big 12, Big 10, Pac 10 or SEC member or if it's bad because they still may only choose from what they perceive to be the best conferences.

this model is almost a gurantee that an SEC team will be in the NC nearly every year....their SOS is going to be good all the time and everyone in the land thinks that if you can go through the vaunted SEC with less than 1 loss you deserve a shot at a NC. and until some of the other teams start winning the marquee OOC games against them their assumption is not that far off.

all things equal ND would get the nod over us 9 times out of 10 i bet due to the alumi/fan base

Which in turn means the ACC champion would be on the outside looking in every year.

unless we(the ACC) quits choking against the SEC....ESPECIALLY when our supposed good teams are playing their middle of the pack teams and lose. the ACC/SEC has a lot of matchups normally OOC and they hand it to us a lot. makes it looke even worse when the ACC team ends up doing really well in conference because it makes the conference look weaker than the SEC. It was nice that FSU thumped SCAR and we Thumped UT recently, that loss against UGA hurt us a little bit and hopefully we can win one or two against the bama's, uf's, lsu's in the next couple years.
