Spent the weekend in Blacksburg

Whats up guys, I'm finishing up my sophomore year at UGA right now but spent the weekend up in Blacksburg visiting my sister who graduates in a few weeks. Just wanted to say how awesome Blacksburg is. We hiked Mcafee's Knob and went to the Homeplace, which was some serious food! Also went to Sycamore Deli and saw some live music, Mey Mey Fresh and Tee Streets were playing.
I'm originally from Annandale, VA if any of you guys are from NoVa. I've only been to Blacksburg a couple times but I'll be back again in two weeks for my sisters graduation. Any other places like Homeplace you recommend I go to? Any must visits? TIA

Gillies breakfast is vastly overrated IMO. Best breakfast is the Carolina Breakfast at Joe's Diner.

Bingo. Of course, I've only been to Joe's between the hours of 1am-5am so that may influence my decision.
I know when I graduated, the first place I went to was Boudreaux's and sat up on the deck for a while. If you like Cajun food, I'd go there. Otherwise, Cabo Fish Taco is a great place to go as well.

If you really enjoy hiking, the Cascades hike is beautiful and ends up at a waterfall. I love the Angel's Rest hike as well, but it is a little bit more distant and the hike is more rigorous than other local hikes. The view at the top, though, is amazing.

If you're of age (if not now then next year), then a "rail" at Top of the Stairs (known in the Burg as "Tots") is a must. Downstairs at the Cellar has a neat vibe, too.
Kabuki over between Blacksburg and Christiansburg is pretty solid as Japanese steakhouses go, too.
Agreed on Gillie's, Carol Lee, and Boudreaux's.
