Sounds like

  • That's one of the funniest things I've ever read on this site.
Bravo smitty (ps autocorrect tried to change ur name to smutty...jerks)

  • Most disgusting report of a program that I have ever read. SMU, money, and Texas politics were rookies. Only thing remotely close, and that being measured in light years, was the Baylor BB scandal back in 2003.

A couple years ago who would thought that in 2012 you guys could breathe a sigh of relief and think "Thank god we hired Al Groh."

    Amen Smitty! clap

Not to hijack the thread, but how is VTdad? Has to have been a LONG couple of weeks.

Thinking about it, Most would raise their hand reluctantly and say "yeah, I guess Al was the better choice, all things considered." lol

Haven't talked to him much lately, sure he has been busy with storm after storm after storm. I left him a voicemail, and will give an update after talking to him.

Thanks! Give him my best. We went almost 10 days without power, but we had generators after 2 days. Many much less fortunate.

Tongo, just got the official update. Dad's sends his best, and be on here when he can. Since the storms he has been working 16-19 hour days. Probably the worst situation prior to this was Hugo, and these storms did far more damage than Hugo. Not even close. So many states impacted that getting workers from other states has been challenging. AEP lost somehwere around 500 poles in WV. Plus, with storms several nights in a row, they kept taking 1 step forward and 2 back every night.

Little tip from dad for those without power, now or in the future. He said if have those solar patio or sidewalk lights, left them things charge up in the sun during the day, and then take them in at night to provide lighting throughout the house. Give off a lot more light than you might think.
