I agree, but what if Rocco and Watford just simply outplay Sims? Seems like a controversy on the horizon.

I've never compared the Alabama offense to the UVA offense (just saying that sentence seems kind of silly, doesn't it?), but I'd say Sims has a little catching up to do in terms of learning the system. Of course if he was just humming footballs into the gatorade coolers and walking up under the RG then that's different. Should be fun to watch all of that unfold.

That's the point though, London has put himself in a very tough spot. You just know he promised Simms a thing or two to get him in, and he also made promises to Watford and other QB's. So no matter how this plays out, London has pissed off someone, probably multiple people. The fair competition is the right way, but it still leaves some upset and a potential locker room cancer. You fix the competition and name Simms even if he didn't earn it, then you've turned Rocco/Watford into the cancers. And you've probably upset other guys who are now worried that favorites (or future recruits) may get chosen over the player that has earned his spot.

Things will probably get ugly no matter what, so just sit back and enjoy.

PS the irony of Simms getting his hardship waiver is he can't turn around and leave UVA over playing time because it'll show why he transferred to begin with.

Something really strange here. Nick Saban said good luck and helped him get a waiver. Without exception, all comments from bama fans have been good luck, that's the way it goes. Why is there not one single person from the bama program or fanbase that is upset in the least to see Sims leave?

Cause he couldn't beat out an average A.J. McCarron. Bama doesn't sweat losing a backup QB

What is even better is that Uva's Offensive Coordinator was pissed when he was FORCED to play Waterford when he wasn't ready.

Not only could this cost team chemistry it could also cost Uva the only good Coach that they have. He is head and shoulders above the other coaches there and he is bound to leave sooner than later.
