Sounds like a lot of unknowns at this point. Spring will be huge. The uncertainly comes with recruiting against the big guns instead of just UVA. Can't say I mind it (as long as we land a few).

I hope he committs to the good guys early too. But other than the perception on the recruiting scene, I wouldn't expect him to do heavy recruiting. He seems to have a more mature approach to the process, and it seems to me that he would let other prospects decide what is best for them. That's not to say he wouldn't speak highly of tech, just wouldn't push others for a commitment. Just my thoughts

I agree with you that he will not be an outward recruiting type recruit, but just having the #1 guy that will be visible is a big deal...especially early in the process

Regarding Hand,VT and Michigan seem to offer him very similar things(education,football quality). With the familiarity he already has with VT(coaches,players,campus) plus the ability of his family and friends to more easily travel to games,I`m hopeful that these factors sway him to VT in the end.
