Question on Brown

  • What's his position at the next level? I've seen some updates that seem to indicate he may play DT.

    With his hands and athleticism, is he a better prospect at 4-3 DT?

  • DT for sure. 6'4" 280+ lbs as a rising JR. Can't imagine anything but DT no matter where he ends up.

    I was thinking he'd be a prototypical NFL 3-4 DE.

    I can imagine LSU and Alabama are going to banging the doors down trying to get him to be the next 3-4 DE there.

    Champ, LSU runs a 4-3, just like us. Their size is actually almost identical to ours across the front 7. If you look at their current depth chart, their starting DEs are under 250 and their starting DTs are under 290, and they have 205 pound linebacker. Big misconception that every team in the SEC is huge across the line, not entirely true.

    Nnadi nor Brown is going to a .500 squad. Interesting year in hooville.

    No one said that Hand is ours to lose, not one single person. We think we are in good shape because he specifically told 247 to move us and 6 other programs NOT named UVA to warm, AND he told them to publish that Bud foster is his favorite recruiter.

    Now, as for Brown, there is ZERO evidence that UVA has any advantage over the 50 other programs that have offered him.

    Plenty of people on here have been pretty vocal that they think UVA looks good for Brown. Lighten up guy.

    They have produced some 3-4 NFL DE's, Tyson Jackson IIRC.

    You're right though, they run a 4-3.

    Don't think, don't care, whatever. We haven't put much effort into making this a supportive and nurturing site for UVA fans.
