To even see VT mentioned with Allen and Green is amazing to me, and VT does have somethings in their favor, like Allen's fit in VT's defense as a DE vs LB at both Bama and Florida. In the case of Green, it's good that he spent time with 1st round draft pick David Wilson, and VT has a better record of sending RBs to the NFL, and that Shane can focus on him.

The defending champion rarely is on pins and needles about its draft, and in this regard, the Giants were no exception. Virginia Tech tailback David Wilson has both physical gifts and the gift of gab -- the New York media will swoon for this young man, who can walk the fine line of calling attention to himself without crossing over into egocentricity. Plus in college he was coached by Billy Hite, one of the top (if little-known) figures of his generation, and by Shane Beamer, who five to 10 years from now will be among the stars of the football coaching profession.

Ryan Williams, a Virginia Tech tailback drafted in the 2011 second round by Arizona, was injured in the preseason and did not take a snap. This season, Williams and Wilson could join Franco Harris/Lydell Mitchell and Thurman Thomas/Barry Sanders as college running back teammates both starring in the NFL at the same time.

With UVA stacking up QBs like air traffic controllers stack up airplanes at Atlanta Hartsfield Airport,I expect Cutler to make a smart decision and go to Wake Forest or another school.

I don't mind not getting Wilkins, if we don't like him at DT and he wants to be one, then not much you can do.

If I were UVA, I would be stacking up QB's too, its the one thing that has really limited them over the past decade. They have had the talent at various positions to be a solid team, but the one position that has held them back is QB. To get to another level they need to work on getting a few players with game breaking speed

They also have a weakness at the position of coaching.
