I'm not too concerned with the overall scheme. All I want is something balanced that we can recruit to. Any scheme can work if it has good players and is well coordinated.
Really, the biggest problem with our offense isn't the scheme, and it isn't the play calling (although there have been some headscratchers throughout the years). Its the coaches' ability to teach players how to execute it at a high level. We simply can't do it consistently. Our most successful offenses have been lead by QBs that can make things happen when the play breaks down.
I will say that I think our blocking scheme is soft. We aren't physical enough up front, and I don't think its a player issue as much as it is a coaching issue.
