Who wouldn't want a competitive football program, it's probably the biggest money maker for a school. Doesn't mean it's going to happen. ML can try to make people care about it, but in the end we sell out versus Arkansas State and when we play you guys in C'ville, the stands are half maroon.

I'm talking about the future of the program. If you consider UVA football's recent history, calling the football program mediocre would be a compliment haha. However, I don't think it's unreasonable to think they can get 7-8 wins from here on out. But your opinion might be a bit jaded, considering the tremendous success and consistency your program has enjoyed the past couple of decades.

Right, and it takes time to change the perception of a program. I'm not going to say London is going to lead the program to BCS bowls every year, but if he can consistently win 7-8 games every year, the fans will respond and they'll fill the stands. But that takes time and the reputation of a program doesn't change overnight.

Attendance has actually improved. Like I said, London isn't going to win the fans' allegiance in two years, it takes a lot more than that to convince an entire fanbase. Luckily for you guys, you have all the fair-weather VT football fans that are oddly enough Duke and UNC basketball fans haha

Most kids are fickle, and will choose teams based on winning. That isn't representative of our fanbase, and you can't use that to label it as fair-weather. Kids that age don't even go to games unless mom and pop takes them. You are basically claiming that we fill up our stadium with children under 18 who aren't VT Alumni. C'mon man.
