Hokies have had at least 1 DB drafted for 14 years in a row and with the current group at VT there is no end to that nice trend. VT is DBU and I'm sure Tim Harris will be hearing this from Shane, Davon, CeQuan, and Holland. VT can get Tim Harris to the NFL. UVA can not match that.

Harris has always been a UVA guy and while VT has had an incredible run of DBs get draft (i believe 14 yrs running was mentioned) that in no way means UVA can't also get him there.Over all both schools have ruffly the same number of guys in the league +/- a couple

Alright Hoos, time for serious introspection. Do you honestly think that even if Sims gets a hardship letter and is better than Metheny and gets to start this year that you will beat us? Our defense that shut you out last year is a year older and better, your defense that gave up 38 points to us last year is reminiscent of Afghanistan to quote Dave Chapelle, "Bombed out and depleted." How much better do you really think Sims is going to make you all? He will be gone in two years, and you all will still be terrible. Might as well start your new coaching search now because ML won't win a combined 14 games this year and next year, I have you guys going 7-7 this year and 6-7 next year.

That's absurd. Just because UVA will probably never be a powerhouse doesn't mean they can't have a respectable football program. You can laugh and joke about it all you want, but I will be happy if UVA won 7-8 games every year, while occasionally cracking the top 25 and a big upset here and there. Does that deem UVA a mediocre program? Of course not. I have no idea whatsoever why you're already predicting London's demise when he's just getting started.

Not even gonna start about this "minimal talent" you talk about when you would sacrifice your left testicle to have Eli Harold, Tre Nicholson, and Kwontie Moore on your side.

The only thing I would sacrifice is the hair on my back for those guys, they're clearing not interested in being Hokies. I would say the same thing about Diggs and Grant, if they don't want to be Hokies, then good luck to them but I could care less. Grant was the #2 player in the country coming out, how is OSU working out for him so far? Diggs was top-10, but now Maryland will spend two years de-recruiting him (except Locksley who will probably feed his ego, getting him nowhere near the 'Desean Jackson hype' that was fed to him throughout his recruitment). In the end the decisions you make, make you, and they may very well be happy playing in the Kraft Fight Hunger Bowl or the Music City Bowl but they chose UVA, so they will probably play until they earn their degree, which I'll say is definitely a quality one to have, but they still won't do anything great in college aside from perhaps beating FSU in Doak or winning a nice OOC game They will also probably make it to the league, "Tre" at least looks like he is headed there so far, but in college, they will play on a mediocre program for their careers.

And you're right, I went to Virginia Tech, so when a team wins 8 games I think it is a mediocre season.

Maybe I am jaded about a couple of things, because I really don't think that UVA will have continued success at football, they just don't care enough about it and I also think that if/when Virginia Tech wins 6,7, or 8 games in a season it will be a very mediocre year.

Who wouldn't want a competitive football program, it's probably the biggest money maker for a school. Doesn't mean it's going to happen. ML can try to make people care about it, but in the end we sell out versus Arkansas State and when we play you guys in C'ville, the stands are half maroon.
