Despite what you HOOverS want to believe, Cooper was never offered.
Nixon deserved what he got and deserves what he'll get for the next four to five years on the football field. Pretty distasteful when you up and visit the mainrival of your committed school without even notifying the coaches.

Distasteful? Is he not allowed to continue to explore his options before signing a LOI? I mean, he probably should've informed his coaches, but this kid is a teenager. I'm 17 years old (like Nixon) and I can guarantee you I wouldn't have the balls to call Beamer and tell him that I'm visiting his rival school. But that doesn't make it right of course..

False and false. Nixon's was pulled when he attended a UVA practice and didn't tell the VT coaches that he was doing so. That might be deceitful, but I wouldn't say it's lying. And Cooper did have one but it was pulled right before he committed. But it's not like VT has had much success with Norfolk Christian and Bayside anyways haha

Let's try again, Cooper never had an offer from the word go, Nixon you finally comprehended why his offer got pulled, as for Bayside- that's a good school to be tied into, not much we can do about that-much like you guys will have no luck with Loren Johnson running the show at Highland Springs, as for NC- we didn't worship the ground he & his kids walk on- and didn't like the truth, pretty sad that many Div-I kids on a team and they can't even win their weak conference or whatever their in. We finally broke back in at Oscar Smith last year and hopefully they'll continue to be kind to us.

I said it earlier, this is big risk situation for London. Obviously Sims is going to "win" the job over Rocco...If were Rocco I'd ask for a transfer or RS, why not get that Shirt back that he should have had. If Sims struggles London has a big problem. Lazor's O is predicated on making good decisions, Rocco does that very well....the knock on Sims at Bama was that he couldn't manage the game like AJ...
it will be interesting to watch. I just don't think it is worth the risk and London would get huge props from his locker room and HS coaches if he were to pass on Sims.

JHoo i have always enjoyed what info you have brought here but, with this i respectfully disagree. Let's put the shoe on the other foot. What would you say if next year our QB depth chart was Thomas, Leal and Hodges in that order and we started replacing Thomas midway thru this first qtr in the 1st 4 games.by pulling the red shirt off of Hodges to see what he could do and get him experience. Meanwhile, Leal is not getting any snaps. You guys would think our coaches are hanging out with Hosley, and VT fans would go nuts. I just don't think london told Ross " Hey you are our 2nd qb and we are not playing you unless Rocco goes down". But, Watford will be playing to get him experience when he was nowhere near ready to play? I don't buy it. Plus, i would think you would want your 2nd qb. to get snaps just in case your starter does go down. Again, when you tell a recruit and his coach that he will get playing time you have to live up to it. Right? As far as the McCarron > Sims comment, you don't have go any furtther than the Alabama board. The kid just couldn't manage or grasp the game.

That is a good way to split a locker room. Sims hasn't been sweating and bleeding with these guys the last couple years like Rocco. I'm sure Rocco's boys will have his back, and if Rocco just takes this, then he's not a competitor at all. If Sims was such an all star he would have been on the field at Alabama. The Alabama QB was barely average for the vast majority of last year.
Sims has whined the whole time. Do you really want that? I guess he'll stop whining if promised the starting job, which no doubt he has been.
Watford, poor watford was promised PT just to keep him away from VT. Now he must move position or be left in the dirt. VT would have developed him. Coulda been the next Tyrod Taylor (even if a poor man's version), but he listened to London's trolling. Unfortunately there are some DB's that also have made/are making the same mistake that VT could turn into NFL starters.

Philip Sims isn't happy...
