I just feel so bad for the piece of garbage. Hopefully everyone let's him have a few seasons off.

Butch Davis will never coach college football again. Say what you want about him not being cited in the allegations against UNC, but he enabled it even if the NCAA couldn't prove it. Where ever Butch gets hired, the NCAA would be watching him very closely. I just don't see any AD in the country in a BCS conference taking that risk.

If they were going to hire davis I would think you would just stick with the POS scumbag you already know and not fire petrino

This is exactly the Arkansas deserves for the way they offered Petrino the job without even asking the Falcons for permission. Petrino is a total , this couldn't be happening to a better guy imo. I think Arkansas will try to pull Malzahn away from Ark St. They need an offensive minded coach with the players they have now. Isn't Funderburke down there or did he transfer?

He is now enrolled at Arkansas, we'll see if he ever gets action down there.

From the Ncaa "Principles of institutional control". "Too often, when assistant coaches are
involved in a web of serious violations, head coaches profess ignorance, saying that they
were too busy to know what was occurring and that they trusted their assistants. Such a
failure by head coaches to control their teams, alone or with the assistance of a staff
member with compliance responsibilities, is a lack of institutional control."
This is from the principles that the NCAA created, which says not knowing indicates a lack of institutional control. Then they rule that lack of institutional control did not occur at UNC, because Butch didn't know.

It's really amazing that a person can plan a fairly complex game and can't ride a motorcycle without screwing it up.
