This is always fun. If you won the $500 million jackpot. what are you gonna do with it!?!?!?
Obviously we would all (well, most of us) take care of our family and of course invest some. But besides the boring stuff, whats your purchasing look like?
I'm definitely buying a few houses in exotic locations for starters.
Maybe re-name Lane Stadium "Seven Costanza" stadium....
Possibilities are endless...

I would quit work... Buy season tickets for the whole message board and rent the biggest limo ever to take everybody to the away games.

As someone who is expecting their first child AND shopping for a new house, that money could come in handy!
- I would buy a big ol water front house in Sag Harbor, my hometown that most locals have been priced out of.
- I would buy the biggest, baddest RV around, maybe two.
- Would get season tickets to the Hokies, Yankees, Giants.
- Would take my RV on a fall college football tour. I would go to most VT games, but also hit most of the Big 10, SEC, Big 12.

Buy homes in a few different places. Only a mansion in one spot, though.
Travel 300 days of the year.
Fund a few dog rescues (frankly, I like dogs more than humans).

JKL - Did you go to school with any of the Kelley's?
My friend Seth was a roommate in college and his whole family is from Sag Harbor. I've been up there a handful of times as well. Nice place.

- Pay $250M in taxes... then b* and moan about taxes.
- Take care of the fam and close friends
- Discover all the new cousins I somehow didn't know before.
- New home (of course). and a yacht.
- A small spot in BBurg for games and such.
- Show up to work and act like an complete for bit... just cause.
- Become an Angel Investor
- Date a model while telling myself she's not with me for the money.

New house in VB.
New Big fishing boat, new smaller (26'ish) fishing boat
A few condos or homes in a few areas I like, Keys, Alta...nothing too extravagant, I'm not really over the top.
Get a place in Scotland so my wife could spend more time with her family and I could have more time on my boats. Hire a friend or 2 to work on my boats and work on my houses (basically an excuse for their wives, they wouldn't really be working) or look at properties so I have someone I like to hang out with.

I have to agree with you on the dogs. My dogs are much better company than most of my friends lol

And then i would spend a month in Cali,a month in Montana/Wyoming,a month in Ireland,and a month in Hawaii. Then football season i would be worthless....as usual.

If you can ever do it, make time to spend time in Wyoming. I took a leave of absence from my job about 7 years ago and spent the June-August living in Jackson Hole, and I lead biking/hiking trips throughout Yellowstone and the Tetons. Not to be corny, but it was life changing, and is at the top of my list to return to with my family. In fact, if won the lottery, I would probably buy a big ol' piece of land in Jackson...
..I was also able to lead some trips in Napa/Sonoma, also amazing.

The first thing I would do is break with tradition and spend more then five dollares for a bottle of red wine. Maybe somthing in the nine or ten dollar category. Then I would go back and buy a few more bottles of five dollar or less wine. Oh, and I would buy my wife a new home permanent kit which she has been begging for . That should do it.
