    "Coach Shuman and Coach Sullivan have told me that I'm really going to like him and his scheme. They've told me that he runs an aggressive defense that will allow me to make plays and really get me ready for the next level."

    Do you think Coach Shuman is just trying to get him to stick with his committment or is he talking up UVA?

  • Haha.....he doesn't blame London for firing Jim Reid because it's a business and if you're not doing your job, you get replaced. Wow! Now if the kid would look at how uva's defense was ranked 29th in total defense while the offense was 65th. Just doesn't make sense at all.

    I thought the same thing when reading this. I guess that means he won't be surprised when london is fired next year and TOB is named the new coach. If someone else can do the job better...biggrin

    The article sounds like he is still pretty solid to UVA which I'm not surprised about. Hopefully, he'll at least take his visit to Blacksburg before making hs decision.

    How many more spots do we have available for this class? If he and Chavis both want to come, do we have room for 2 or just 1?

    So,what`s he going to say and do in 1-2 years if London,Tenuta and the gang are fired? If he wants to get ready for the "next level", where can he do it better than at DBU...VT?

    I think Coach Shuman is telling Cook the truth as he sees it.

  • Coach Shuman will want his kids to honor their commitments. It's about keeping the integrity of your word when you make a commitment to that school. It's in FUMA's best interests to keep things fair so programs continue to recommend his program across the country. With that Said...Shane will Say to the recruits "Shuman's 2 sons are both in Blacksburg for a reason"

  • I don't think anyone would blame a kid (or their hs coaches) for changing his commitment after his recruiter and coordinator are fired unjustly.

    Yeah, circumstance have significantly changed since his original verbal. Shuman should let the kid make the best decision for himself, not what is in FUMA's best interests.
