    That's just it. Who's elite? FSU and Miami were supposed to be the bell cows. Miami is a joke and FSU-- while improving-- is a shell of what they were prior to expansion.

    If you're insinuating VT needs to win more big games, I agree, but I'm not taking lip from a HOOver. Remember, VT was a "throw-in"-- an "also-ran." According to your brethren, it would be years before we won a game....in any revenue sport..... and some wrote that VT would NEVER win an ACC title in ANYTHING.

    Why doesn't UVA step up and fill that 50+ year void and win an outright football title? Tell Clemson to stop waiting 20 years between championships. Tell Tobacco Road to take football as serious as hoops. Maybe then things will change.

    VT football has definitely disappointed it's own fans at time but has done nothing for the rest of the ACC except step up fill the void left by eveybody else.

    Points well taken. While Va Tech was flourishing much of the rest of the ACC was floundering. Tech by and large has carried the league banner for a number of years. This was a down year for Tech, but you can't ask one team to carry the conference on its shoulder forever. I believe Clemson and FSU have made commitments to reestablish themselves. Miami is recruiting at a high level. And I believe Va Tech will get pointed back in the right direction. A lot of pressure could be relieved on the traditional standard bearers in football if both UNC and UVA would get their programs where they should be. And stop asking just two or three teams to be solely responsible for the football reputation of the ACC year in and year out. Neither UVA or UNC (two flagship schools) have done their part for over a decade.

  • On a side note fellas. The ACC is looking absolutely sick for basketball. What the heck.... even the Celtics might have a tough time winning an ACC championship. Congrats on a nice win over Iowa. Hokies looked tough.

    Not really just that we hate the acc and sure as hell don't want to be back in the shitty big east, which the acc is turning into.
