He didnt sneak in. he was one of the main 3 or 4 mentioned since november. i really like this candidate more than long because he has been around a lot more great minds and systems and even players. plus he is 38. on thing that is hard for a lot of coaches is being able to relate to kids in this generation. i know this because i coach and i am only 20 years older than my players and i see the differences. the younger the coach the more likely to find some common ground.

Hamilton was a "why not take a shot", Loeffler has long (no pun intended) been in contention. Time will tell if Loeffler is the best choice, but I think he has very good shot to hold on to Logan.

I think that's the season he (unfortunately) chose an NFL job with the Lions who went 0-16. That doesn't look good when you see that on his resume, but I'm pretty sure that an NFL team that doesn't win a single game has more problems than just one assistant coach.
