Lebron

  • Love him or hate him, or even hate the NBA, he is an insanely gifted athlete. His size and athleticism is unreal. Dude takes a ton of criticism, a lot deserved, but he played great last night.

Very happy to see Mike Miller light it up after all he has been through

  • Lebron is great player but handled leaving Cleveland terrible. Probably more against Dan Gilbert or the other two in the BIG three. He has even admitted that I believe. OKC has great future if they learn to take care of ball and be tougher. This could be BIG TIME rival game for NBA.

No doubt he handled leaving Cleveland wrong, the owner was just as big a douche though. He doesnt get in trouble off the court, and is an awesome talent to watch.

I agree this could become a huge rivalry. I'm far from a lebron lover either, just wanted to give him his due. Im a Wizards fan

Agreed, I see it being a rematch in the finals next season.

Wizards actually just made a nice little trade. Getting rid of Lewis was big...Okafor and Nene should make a nice tandem too (is Nene staying in DC?). Ariza is a solid player, not great, but solid. If Wall can just mature a bit on the floor, he could be up there with Rondo/Westbrook, etc..as far as explosiveness and taking over a game.

  • I got so turned off by the media coverage of the Finals, they ruin everything. The stupid freaking black and white pictures of the players hugging the freaking trophy. They took a completely classic moment when Jordan did it spontaneously after the 1991 finals and turned it into that pre-fab crap.

  • 7 more to go. He's the one that said it was going to be easy. He is the one that has to live those words down. I recognize he is a great player, but laugh at the rest of the Lebron huggers who call people haters just because they aren't fans as well.

Can you imagine him at TE or DE? Yeesh,

I'm not a hater. I've basically given up on the NBA but he at least makes me tune it once in a while. 20 years ago, I'm sure I watched every second of the Finals. This year the two games I watched were the only two games I sat down and watched all year. I was hoping for a little better series but Lebron is just a nightmare to try and defend. His "decision" was handled poorly but I sort of see it as his "signing day" event since he never really had one of those. And most of the blame there can be saddled on ESPN for hyping it so much.

It was cool seeing Mike Miller shoot the lights out last night. Dude is so broken that it wouldn't be surprise me if that was his last game. Sweet way to go out.

And props to Juwan. 18 years in the league and he finally gets a ring.

Theres a big difference in not being a fan and hating him. There have been PLENTY of "haters". Just like theres a big difference in rooting for the guy vs being a "hugger". works both ways.

FWIW, he made that comment at a Heat pep rally...really not a big deal. People get so upset about any little thing the guy does.

You can brush the comments off if you want, but even if it was a heat pep rally he knew what he was saying. You aren't that big of a superstar and say something that isn't put in the spotlight. Fact of the matter is I know plenty of Lebron fans that will verbally attack you just because you don't like him. I have and never will be a Miami Heat fan. I'm not going to be one just because Lebron James goes there. Does he have a lot of talent? Yes, everyone in the NBA has talent or they wouldn't be there in the first place. The best thing I've heard come out of his mouth is after he won when he said he was immature and he has grown up. That I respected more than the fact that he won the championship.

Well, again, the hatred and the love goes both ways. Plenty of idiots on both sides of that aisle.

No joke. Miller can barely move out there! Im pretty sure he already said hes retiring after this year. Although he is making $6 million/year. Very happy for Juwan...he seems like a good dude. Just works hard in practice and by all accounts is great in the locker room. Happy for Bosh too. Last night was some of the best team basketball ive ever seen in the NBA. The thunder will be back, theres no doubt. And i feel quite confident Durant will get his ring, if not multiple ones. Hes a great ambassador/face for the NBA.

I can agree with that. That is also what makes sports so great. It would be very boring if everyone cheered for the same teams, players, etc...

  • I was very happy for Miller, after what he has to go through last year with his daughter, I'll always pull for him.

Hey, just because I hate LeBron does not make me an idiot. He has done enough to warrant people not liking him.

Just want to clarify that point.

    We're cool, man.

I am just not a LeBron fan and I certainly know there are plenty of idiots that either love him or hate him. I also know there are plenty of folks who are not idiots who fall on both sides of the fence.

By the way, I am now sitting in Section 13 on the aisle (as always) near the 35-40 yard line. Ace seats.

Got no problem with that whatsoever. A good example of what I mean by idiots...a buddy of mine is a huge cleveland fan. Loves the indians, browns, etc...and he USED to be a Cavs fan. He absolutely HATES Lebron...says terrible things about the guy while he plays. Also claims he "backstabbed" cleveland...well, the best part of it is this same guy became a Thunder fan after LeBron left Cleveland. I just find it idiotic he hates lebron for leaving cleveland, but he dumped them just as fast to be a fan of a frontrunner.

Anyway...nice seats. We'll have to catch up again this year.
