Charlotte adds Virginia Tech transfer JT Thompson | CollegeBasketballTalk

Charlotte has picked up a late addition to its 2012 recruiting class, adding graduate transfer JT Thompson from Virginia Tech, the school has announced. Thompson has sat out the past two seasons with injuries, having worked back from major surgery on both knees.

Good luck to JT. Definitely my favorite player of that class. We missed his toughness big time the past two years. Never questioned his effort in any game.

I loved JT Thompson's play. He was easily my favorite player on the team the past few years since Gordon and Dowdell left.
He played hard and had some big games for us off of the bench. I wish we had him for next year.

Couldn't answer for certain. Get the impression VT wanted to get the younger guys more PT.
