Love it.

This is as much depth as VT has had on defense in a long time. The CB's are light but I have to believe someone is moving there at some point. Manning is the real deal Holyfield but thats good for #3 CB...who's behind him? Tookes looks like hes going to be a good one and Riley will probably start there but that isnt a good situation most likely if they have to play as well. Tony Gregory isnt the answer and if the Jarrett/Bonner moves stick, which appear likely, then who else moves? Aromire?

Thats the only question mark I see though. There are at least six DE's who can play and four or five DT's, only one of which is a senior. That is absurd. The LB's, when healthy, are in a similar deal. There is a solid 2-deep among each position and even with the attrition, the depth is good. Even Laiti finally got his mind right and is making moves.

The defense should be unbelievable this year. If nobody leaves for the NFL -- which we will likely sweat about until the deadline -- then the 2013 defense will absolutely be as good as any other in the nation.
