By the way, the snake pic is indeed a Timber rattler that was found in a substation. About 2 weeks before the Derecho. He was sporting 6 rattles and a button, measured out at 39 inches. Fangs were almost 3 inches long. His head was severed to allow this pose. He later became dinner for some dogs that belonged to the guy that found him.
