Ok, someone please explain this to me. After looking at some of the Hoo responses about VT being scared theyre on our heels. Why do they think that? VT has never had a crazy edge in recruiting over UVA and even under their savior London, weve beat them 75-7. What am i missing here?

They are just excited.
They are getting better recruits now than Groh got the last several years.
They are getting top VA talent....and in the discussion with most top recruits in VA and getting traction OOS
They won 8 games last year which was an improvement.

I don't know...to me they are improving....not to VTs level at this point, and maybe never so.
I understand their excitement, and they were delusional when they were a complete dumpster fire, so no surprise they are more so now.
I am one of those who sees no benefit in a better UVA....i get the argument you legitamize the state of VA football and maybe overall keep more kids in state that would have possibly headed OOS...
overall, they are better, they are more relevant in the state of VA....and hoo fans are hugely delusional, so with some success that only gets intensified

last year thier schedule was charmin soft. This year it's cream puff filled again. Even so they are not and have not been relevant nationally for a long time. VT owns this commonwealth and Beamer will see this newest coach of theirs fired as he has their last 2. The new coach shine won't last past this season. London is not a good gameday coach at all. Lazor will leave soon and it will start to unravel. Beamer will retire as they enter another nadir, ensuring our successful transition to a new regime and continued dominance within Virginia. The coach at bayside high will be sad, but unable to stop our inevitable and devine right to be THE state of Virginia's favored and chosen football program.

Maybe the last couple years under Groh sure. But they got a lot of talent early with Groh and it didnt matter. And VT still hasnt ever really dominated UVA in recruiting. Plus 75-7 speaks volumes about how close they really are. jmho

One of the UVA fans posted that they will have 60K to watch PSU this season. So,they will have 60K come to watch PSU,but only 8K to watch UVA. Hmmm....

It'll take one hell of a coaching job to get them to 5 wins this year. The defense will get repeatedly owned IMHO.

Hoos are so funny. Shane is having a little fun with them and they get all bent out of shape. All they have to do is actually show up for the game, but they'd rather focus on the guy calling them out for being loser fans of a loser program. Just stop being losers and we wouldn't be able to say anything!

I love one guy talks about having 60K for the Penn State game and we will have 60K for Austin Pea....cuz Penn State is just a solid program right now and is poised to be the team to beat in the BIG10 or whatever they are these days..

I would think they would take that a complement being he did refer to them as a rival. Hasnt been much of a rivalry for some time.
