VT wins the Sugar Bowl if they take the damn points instead of running that stupid sneak on fourth and almost two.
I hated yesterday's call moreso because they brought in Holmes for the 4th and short. The line didn't give him help, but that guy has to be the worst short yardage back we have had in years. Coleman and Scales are exponentially better options at this point.

Not only has Holmes in but Wang lays down and does his version of the Gator and Martin is lined up in a position where a critical block is needed (and of course whiffs). If Martin is in the game he needs to be spread out very wide to the OPPOSITE side we intend to go. At least it will occupy a DB.

Malleck did not touch anyone either on that play. 35 yd field goal to go up 10 on the road? No brainer.
With the way defenses stack against LT in this situation, I would imagine that a jump pass to a TE crossing the middle might be effective. Heck, LT doesn't even have to jump.
Hite still being involved in any game day decision making is a travesty. Pretty bad when your O's tendencies are so easily chartable that plays are blown up before they have a chance to start.
Why even show a pistol, spread, or whatever when you take the time to make a read of the D then give them time to shift to another set? That is clueless.
Hurts when the QB and punter have to be more worried about catching the snap than executing the play.
We have been decimated by injury on the OL. I really feel for Via being put in such a "bad" situation, but we were having problems long before Miller and Caleb got hurt. OL problems are threefold: poor coaching, poor scheme, and poor OL recruiting leading to a tremendous lack of depth. Too many misses and not enough bodies to even fill out a two deep.
I have no doubt that each and every player AND coach takes the losses to heart, but it is painfully obvious that we need a new direction on O and ST at the end of this season. I certainly realize that it is a very good livelihood that the coaches are making, but it is a high profile, demanding business. Time to make some painful decisions. I hope CFB has it in him to make the changes necessary. jmho
