    It's a dog eat dog world and if we allow our school to be a doormat, then that's precisely what will happen. All alums must put pressure on those with power. Write letters, write emails, tweet, whatever. Use your dollars to influence. We gotta let those in control know how we feel and maybe we can at least get our board or the AD to speak out. Something, anything really.

    I've got a bad feeling our board and president are more than happy to be bent down on all fours snatching table crumbs from the Carolina schools.

  • How much is the ACC going to make off of its basketball deal vs. other confremces and does NCAA tourney money get split like bowl money, evenly between all affiliates?

  • Andy Bitter with a good summary as well as links to several stories. I didn't realize the increase is only 1 mil next year and the full 4 mil increase doesn't really kick in for 9 years. We lost a crap load of cash by not going to the SEC last year.

    Wow that really is shocking. So we got like nothing and are basically getting raises over the years to match inflation. What an awful deal. No wonder FSU is pissed. We should be too, cause we've been carrying the torch for this conference since we joined.

    I feel like VT could go to any conference in the country. FSU and Clemson can't go to the SEC because of UF and USCe, they would never allow it.

    This was posted 32 minutes ago on the Baylor247 site by Brian Ethridge (Their head guy) who has been ahead of everyone in the FSU to Big12 talks.

    Bingo! If FSU could go to the SEC they would jump at the chance, we on the other hand are coveted by the SEC for several reasons and some how think the ACC is the best fit??

    The ACC is being watered down in regards to Football and our Adminstration is turning a blind eye to it the facts.

  • I may be completely wrong, but I get the feeling that whether it is NCAA sanctions or a new ACC contract, UNC has quite a helping hand in the position of commissioner, to ensure they will always have someone acting in their best interest.

    Again, just my perception..

    That does seem odd. I'm certain each of the Big 12 President's signed off on their television deal and I'm sure the SEC will do the same. I don't see any possible way any of the ACC football schools could read through that and not think "wtf?"
