It's actually Doug McDermitt I believe. But that still doesn't change MoMo and Green would have been a nasty backcourt. But Green definitely deserved it and I know NBA people don't care about these awards but I think it will make them think a little bit more and get him that late first round look.

That's not nearly the dumbest thing said on this topic alone. For that I submit this moron:
Subject: He's not the best player, he's not the best player on the best team, and he's

I don't see how this one makes any sense by any metric...

From the hoo board
Happytheman A Ball hog on a team that, well...that sucks and has no one else! He really should have averaged aboud 50 points a game, then he could have said something. 25 is no big deal on that team. NOT impressed
MPierce71900 I find it pathetic to award a player on the 12th place team in a 12 team league the POY. He's a fine player but no where near ACC POY imo. Plumlee's numbers are outstanding, Larkin was solid all year and Harris made a claim, I'd have Greene behind those 3 fwiw.
Kendall don't care if he scored 500 points per game. His team went 4-14. It's a joke that he's POY, and it's an embarrassment to the ACC. I don't even think he should be on the First Team All-ACC.

Oh definitely. If it had been anyone else named ACC POY, they'd be lined up to congratulate him. But it's Green/VT so nope. Can't have that. One Hoo went so far as to say that all the team was interested in was making sure E.G. got his points and not in winning at all. Called Eric a POS who was a detriment.

Well, if you never watched him play maybe you can draw that conclusion. In game after game I watched, Green typically had a low scoring first half because he ran the offense, distributed the ball well, and tried to get the rest of the team involved. Into the 2nd half it became evident that no one else could finish or complete a play and Green started doing more on his own. Personally from watching, I got so frustrated watching him pass and shots get missed, and wished he would have been much more selfish.
I have never seen a more able and talented player be less selfish with the ball than Green.
