I think the underlying solution to a situation like this is to not take anything posted on twitter as serious. Anyone that bases their opinion on somebody on one tweet is a damn fool. It's like using wikipedia as a source for your research paper. Not very accurate of the subject or in this case person. After all Darren did in his time at VT both on and off the field, one tweet should be enough to hate him. There are some real idiots out there.

Twitter isnt hearsay, its straight from the mind of the person tweeting it. Basing your opinion of someone on one tweet is like judging someone after meeting them once. Its not right, I agree, but its straight from Darren, not from someone's "brother's sister's cousin's roomate." For the record, I support Darren and think hes a great ambassador for VT, but HE said that VT wouldve been a waste of time if not for football, and you cant fault some people for not taking kindly to that.
And by the way, Im not sure where youre getting your info but Wikipedia is an incredible source. Contrary to what schools or the news tell you, there isnt much false information at all on Wikipedia.

So don't take seriously what Darren has to say? I don't follow you on why I shouldn't take seriously what comes directly from him.
