I was just wondering how his recovery is going. Hoping he cans step up into that #1 receiver role and thrive with LT coming back.
I'd love to see an answer to this also. Been wondering about DJ and his progress. There are plenty of question marks at WR, but the potential is there for that position to be a much bigger strength this fall than it was in 2012.
If DJ can return at full strength, he has pro potential and was the best blocking WR we had by far before his injury.
We have a talented speed guy in Knowles who will have had another offseason to develop into a well rounded WR and not just a really fast but raw guy with potential. He's shown some true WR instincts as far as body positioning and has good hands - much more than just a track guy out there.
Asante has tools and could be a viable third option.
Also, Joel Caleb could factor in after a year of learning the position. I hope he works hard this winter, spring and summer not just in the weight room but on the practice field and in film study. He has the open field skills with the ball in his hands to be special if he can get himself up the learning curve.
Too many "ifs" for me to be confident in predicting that the WR position will be a strength next year. But the potential is there if a few things come together.

I got one big wish for DJ and it is for him to stay injury free. He is overdue for a little good luck and yes , he is really really good.
Dont sleep on Byrn - they like him enough that he returned some punts last year... He'll be somewhere in the mix.
