UV is where kids go to watch their dreams die. VT is for ballers and serious students who want to graduate and have a successful life. We have the better program and graduation rate, UV has kids who are lied to by their "mentors" for reasons we can only speculate about.
You are correct. I pulled the stats from Rivals. Reckon that'll teach me.
Keith Payne, anyone?
Seems someone was a bit sensitive.
Why don't you fill all of us in as to why it was such a bad statement. I guess you really wouldn't know. They were a cult of brainwashed people who wanted the world to take care of them and they would believe anything Hari told them or just about anything.
I don't consider what he had to be a religion. It was a cult of easily manipulated people. About 20 people living off of lettuce in a basement is not a religion imo.

I had a friend in college that was from Lebanon, and he once referred to them as "hairy christians." Seriously thought that was the correct name. True story.
I don't know a lot about them I did see some of the interviewed years ago on TV and a few of them actually came to my hometown and panhandled and passed out leaflets. I saw them one day standing on a corner. I just avoided them, they looked kinda strange. I was maybe 12 or something like that. They may have been decent people just a bit idealistic. I'm probably not as bad as I sound, sometimes. I hope they were christians, if so that is a new one on me.
Yes, Joe Isuzu is their spiritual leader.

People sleep soundly in their beds at night because rough men stand ready to visit violence on their behalf.
I'm not sure they beat PSU
Actually, you've really shown your ignorance. People practicing "Hare Krishna" as you put it are people following Hinduism, which is the third largest religion in the world. The sect that you've identified are folks who chose to practice Hinduism in their own way; your condemning of their way of worship shows bigotry at its finest. So, eating lettuce from a basement? Hardly.
Please learn before you open your mouth.
Btw, you're the stereotype of what UVa fans talk about -- uneducated and uninformed -- please stop.
EDIT: An easy Wikipedia search would've even helped you: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/International_Society_for_Krishna_Consciousness

Did you hear Hoo got arrested? Thomas Jefferson would be proud!
Yeah, sorry -- but ignorance is a pet peeve of mine.
I try not to get into controversial back-and-forths (hence initially asking "why bring religion into this?" in the first place -- people on message boards should really avoid things like this).
i have nothing more to say on this suject.
