The national pundits are laaaaaaaazzzy. And all that matters on twitter is gut, emotional reaction and being the 1st to break the news.
I'm worried that Carlos Parker and Bucky Hodges will turn out like Frazier. Neither of them appear tailor made for a pro style offense. We need to convice Leal to stay. I'd actually almost rather have 2 years of Leal over 1 year of Thomas.
Did you hear Hoo got arrested? Thomas Jefferson would be proud!
Yeah, just like we looked aginst GT. How did that turn out? Go watch the Vandy game. Its far from their worst performance but terrible enough to get the point across. Then take in to account all the talent AU gets compared to Vandy and VT. Just on the OL they have got 10 4 stars and 1 5 star over the last 3 years. I really hope that AU poster is right about the play calling.

Who was the last OC Auburn fired during the season? Wasn't it Tony Franklin? How did he work out this year for a team that gave him more than 5 minutes to coach? I don't know a lick about coaching, but it's near impossible to give a good analysis on a 1 year sample size. I think 3 years is plenty to see where it's going, 1 year is a knee-jerk reaction. The flip side is that coaches get too much credit too for a good year. There's a lot that goes into winning, so hiring good minds that can relate to recruits is a win-win scenario.
We are also seeing how results can come quicker than they used to (rookie NFL Qb's, Texas A&M, etc), so I think people are very short sighted in a social media can't focus for more than 5 seconds environment. What Beamer does can't be stubborn at times, but he's loyal enough to give a guy the confidence to reach his potential.
I understand the concerns of this hire, but unfortunately in the blog world these days it's like you have to take a stand and be loud about it. Taking an honest approach isn't how these pundits get their name. They don't look any deeper than the one nugget that will prove their article. We're taught by GM's and the media that only the last year matters. If that produced true results then you wouldn't see these guys fired all the time within 2 years.
