95, I was a decade or so behind you HokieDave. Tony Morrison would of been pretty good at VT if he could of kept his head straight, I guess Alonzo Mourning would be the best from Indian River.
Yes tony would have been a great one. I played with an amazing athlete named David Geter but addictions kept him from the next level and has since taken his life. Yes alonzo was a monster in high school.
Patrick Henry - Ashland
Erron "Deetle" Kinney
Both graduated the year after me
Donnell Derricott was a beast too. Led the nation in interceptions at Marshall.
Czy I agree with Terry too. Another name that came to mind was Chris Cyrus. I took a good beating everyday at practice tryin' to block those two. OHHH, I got a headache just thinkin' about!!
lol You know OD,i guess i was so close to Cyrus i even overlooked him at times. But the boy was a beast, and a very valuable player at VT. And people forget just how good Terry was around these parts.dude was a monster.

I remember those Giles teams from that era. From 8th Grade to Varsity, they were tough as nails.
I played defensive back for a rival, and on every single play, someone would come at me and hit me, hard.
You never knew what direction it was coming from, high, low, ..., POW!
They had a system, they executed it on every play, they were businesslike, and showed great discipline.
