From looking at the picture on the front page of weather.com, it looks like Isaac could possibly effect the game.
What say you?
The Weather Channel and weather.com provide a national and local weather forecast for cities, as well as weather radar, report and hurricane coverage.
Guy in Richmond said Isaac won't come near VA-- even the remnants. Will dry up over the southern midwest.
But I have less faith in weathermen than I do in VT's O so we'll see.
I laughed. +1
I hope like hell it doesnt rain
I feel guilty for laughing but that was funny. Hopefully this is the year it goes to bed.
Storm track forecasts - none are coming close to Blacksburg.
Ehh who cares? BC 07, Miami 09, JMU 10, sat through all of them.
Other than the fact that we lost 2/3 out of those, I would just rather have a clear night to watch a game in.
I'd rather have a monsoon. Makes everything a lot more fun.
Georgia Tech + first game + our D + RAIN???
I'll take it. Go ahead and chalk up 4-5 fumbles for the Jackets.
The problem is our O has to play in that rain too...
Other than having to sit in it haha.
Rain often favors the team with the slug it out type of running game like VT will have this season. Holmes and Scales would run well in that type of environment. The GT A backs that are more speed guys might not be as effective. Also, teams that can pass often have an advantage in rain since the WRs know where they are going and the DBs have to react.
Yea I know, but we still have a lot of new guys on O.
You can add temple and Cincinnati to that list as well. Not a good trend.
Wait... didn't we dominate Miami in 09?
Yep. Cold rain. Jacory's visor was fogging up bad and they finally had to remove it. 31-7, and Miami had 209 total yards. Ryan Williams had 150 rushing, and 40 receiving
I don't recall the Temple game having foul weather, either.
I do remember when WVU came in to Blacksburg ranked in the top 10 and a rain storm came out of nowhere. The bourbon-fueled fans just cheered louder and the team rose to the occasion and shut the Mountaineers down.
