Curious as to the perspective from the gurus on the board. Do these particular firings help/hurt UVA in aspects related to recruiting and coaching? Also do you see this as an advantage to them getting a leg up on the replacement search since our changes (if we have any) won't happen until after the bowl game?
I'm no Guru but I do know that Reid is well respected in the college/high school coaching circles around the State. There is more to this story, we haven't or may not hear all the details. There is probably more drama to play out so sit back and grab some popcorn

I'm not a guru by any means, and anticipate the guru's input, but I see this as an effort by London to triple down on 757 recruiting. GA Marques Hagans is rumored to be hired, possibly as RBs coach, and despite no coaching or recruiting experience, would seem to be an effective recruiter, wherever he would be assigned, maybe 757 Peninsula District and Richmond. Hagans of course played QB at Hampton High. I wouldn't be surprised if recently resigned Bayside coach is in play, as well as someone on the ODU staff. London has to beat VT in 2013, or he's likely done, and it's obvious from the Sabre that he has lost the support of the fans, and with Eli Harrold unhappy, things could spiral down quickly.
The problem with tripling down on the 757 recruiting area is that even if he started next year by the time those players made a impact on the team he would have already been fired. He needs to quit worrying about were he is getting his players from and become a better coach with a better support staff.
I don't understand why people on here are saying the Bayside coach is in play for uVa. They have top-flight talent ad still underperform every year? Not aimed at anyone in particular, just don't know why he would be considered except to ensure that uVa gets the 1-2 players from Bayside every couple of years, which they would get anyway.....

To be honest, when Moore announced he was leaving BHS, I thought it was for a job at UVa (same day as the news came out that RB coach was released). However, after reading some of Moore's comments, it's obvious that he is just as fed up with the shenanigans going on in his neck of the woods. While he gave no names, it was obvious that he was tired of dealing with the GF and other 'handlers'.
