I see alot of fans (from all schools) tweeting recruits. Is this a no no...grey area...straight up violation or is it harmless assuming some nutjob doesn't offer some sort of benefit....
Technically against the rules but it would be virtually impossible to enforce.
Did you hear Hoo got arrested? Thomas Jefferson would be proud!

unless it's student to student, it's pretty creepy
Made clear how I feel about it, but with the recent rule changes by the NCAA regarding social media, don't believe it is against the rules anymore.
College fb is becoming more like the bigs. Here in Florida it seems the hs recruiting is stronger than college recruiting used to be.
Not really sure if it can be against the rules. If you're not affiliated with the school, the NCAA can't limit what you say to anyone. Constitution > NCAA, lol

What an absolute embarrassment. Don't tweet these kids, just don't. I hope this post prevents someone from tweeting at a teenaged boy. If so, I've made the world a better place tonight.
If the NCAA were the government you'd have a good point.
Sorry to be a jerk with the above comment but you misunderstand the constitution if you think it protects your speech from breaking a NCAA rule.
X a gazillion. It comes across as pathetic, no matter what words of wisdom you tweet.
maybe you dont know what lol means. also, didn't the ncaa just lift restrictions from coaches and staff and stuff texting and tweeting? so if it doesn't apply to them, it definitely doesn't apply to fans. either way it doesn't seem like the ncaa could keep non-university employees/non-boosters from tweeting recruits.
