HTTR! I agree man how awesome has Morris been this year. The only thing is he needs to protect that ball a little better. It's fun to play meaningful football games in December. I think we will be alright this week if we get pressure on Foles he will turn it over.

Sounds like Kevin Jones pre injury
Maybe he should do that on every play then maybe he'd have more than 800 yards rushing entering week 16. Getting a 1000 yards shouldnt be difficult for someone who was picked higher than Adrian Peterson, regardless what his OL is like. MJD led the league in rushing last year and the Jags were what 5-11? This year their 2-12... now thats an awful team.

First off ESPN is trash, so who cares what they say...
Second, have you seen the kid play? He is a great RB. He plays on a crap team and is still doing quite well.
Let's just disregard scheme and surrounding talent and consider the individual stats. I think that's how the GMs do it.

I did.... played the Eagles week 1. He looked slow and didn't have much quickness. Looked more like Brandon Jacobs than Jim Brown.
Oh, well I guess that settles that...
I'm just trying to give this board some life in the offseason... it was a convo that we had in my office this week. I was the only guy that didn't think he was the next sweetness in my office. I guess I'm just not seeing what everyone else sees in this kid. Everyone seems to see Peterson or Sanders... I see Brandon Jacobs or Peyton Hillis.
Just thought it was good topic of conversation.
Let me ask you this... what qualities do you see in him that make you think he's going to be a superstar?
Im not at all saying hes the next Jim Brown, Walter Payton, etc...
But, I do think he has the skill set to become a perennial pro-bowler. He is extremely strong & hard to tackle. I think his speed is deceptively good and hits the hole well. Hes also very good at coming out of the backfield on screens/dump-offs.
By all accounts he also has a great work ethic and the will to win/get better. Not to mention, he's playing on an offense where teams key on him for the game, so that is going to hurt his stats a bit. I dont think defenses are scared of Brandon Weeden or their wr's.
Again though, ESPN is stupid, so im not buying all their "hype"...I just think TR is one of the better RB's in the game...
I am sorry, I hate resorting to statements like this, but honestly, if you don't think TRich is a BEAST you really don't know anything about football. Watch the dude play....absolutely nothing he does says mediocre. Dude has played with a broken rub most of the season. In terms of fantasy production, there are only 4 RBs (AP, Foster, McCoy, Lynch) I would take over TRich. Trent was the best player on the BAMA team his Freshmen year when Ingram started and won the heisman (I believe can't remember?)
In this day and age everyone is over-hyped because there are niche radio stations, tv shows and channels, etc. that need to fill up all of this air time that didn't exist previously. These "analysts" who do the over-hyping need to get noticed to advance their career and to do so they speak in hyperbole. Everyone is over-hyped. The people saying people are over-hyped on message boards are, themselves, over-hyped.
That ramble out of the way, I do think Trent Richardson is a nice running back who can have anywhere from a Kevin Jones career to an Edgerrin James career. Who knows? Health and what teams you play for being such huge variables.... Jim Brown he ain't....
