Is there a more over-hyped player in the history of football? ESPN is comparing him to Jim Brown cause he's closing in on Jim's record for rushing yards as a rookie. Jim Brown had 942 yards in 1957 as rookie, Richardson is at 897. Never mind that Jim Brown did that in 12 games where as TR is through 14 already with 2 more to play.
I just don't know what people see in this kid. I thought he was an average rb in college running behind the best OL in college football. I'm not sure how scouts could think he was worthy of that high a draft pick. Whats Doug Martin up to... 1200 something yards or more?
alot of players out of usc were worse IMO. Reggie bush, leinart, etc.
I think he's a good RB. Plus, he's a beast in the weight room as well. But, I agree he hasn't done a whole lot even though he plays for a terrible franchise.
He's pretty darn good. Cleveland is terrible, I have him in FF so I have watched him way more than I ever would have, he has very little room to run
Yep. I have him and Martin and they have killed it for me. People need to realize that Richardson is running behind one of the worst OLs in the league. Weeden does not exactly put the fear in anyone so teams tend to stack the box.
This. Richardson is a damn good back. Not on the level 'Bama fans think he is though. They were attempting to put him into the elite group of Bush, Peterson, McFadden as far as college backs in the past decade or so. He's not on that level. But he's still excellent.
I can think of at least a dozen players more overrated than Richardson. Trent has been the only bright spot on the Browns, not to mention the Browns have an average offensive line (Mike Vick would be happy behind at least an average line). Tim Tebow comes to mind as the most overrated NFL'er of all time.
THE ONLY THING I'M ADDICTED TO IS WINNING--CHARLIE SHEEN
Kid is a handful to bring down and has a nose for daylight. Cleveland's OL actually isn't that bad. It's the lack of vertical passing game that has teams keying on him.

He's a beast.
If you do not think Trent Richardsoon is a good running back you probably do not know much about fooball
I drafted Martin as well - got crushed this weekend in the playoffs with Martin, Eli, Ridley, Tynes, and Bryce Brown all sucking pretty bad this week - SMH
This week destroyed me also but luckily the VTScoop league BigCali set up has the playoff rounds as two week games. I scored 211 points last week and 89 this week. Luckily I had enough of a lead. I had Martin, Wayne, White, Cruz, Alexander, and Bennett playing this week. They all had horrible games.
Since we are talking FF: I was down 29 points going into last night's game, the second of the first round playoff games, with the Jet's D and Jeff Cunningham...I only took JC so I could wait until the last minute to play or bench Gronk in the Sunday night game...he had a TD reversed in the 1st, I man how many times is that guy going to have a TD chance with Sanchez? He then had 13 points and another TD in the 4th with the Jet's D picking up 16.8....I had never heard of Jeff Cunningham.
You would have though I won the lottery with the way I was acting. On to the Superbowl and hopefully GRONK, I can't believe I got lucky with no Gronk.
Thats funny, and nevermind that both Doug Martin and Alfred Morris are steam rolling yardage!! I don't care much for Trent but I am willing to admit he would be great for goal line plays
Jeff Cumberland. haha
Umm yeah Alfred Morris has rushed for 1322 yds on 280 att. and was drafted in the 6th round lmao although im a big Skins fan I would take Morris over Trent any day of the week.
Guys like TR have that blend of power/speed and can break tackles. It clearly doesn't hurt being on a great college team though. Saban has a machine over there, and coaches/schools do have reputations in the scouting world. It's only natural, if a guy is a stud at Alabama then you know he is Saban approved. With that being said, some top schools for talent seem to pump out over rated players (LSU, USC, BAMA, etc.)
I for one would never draft a rb top 15, probably not even in the first round honestly. The NFL is system based, so you have various styles. At the end of the day a RB that has vision, enough burst, and ability to break tackles is good for me. Sure, it would be great to have a speed guy like a DW to take it to the house, but it's not hard to look around the NFL and find late value in RB's.
Keep in mind that ESPN is SEcSPN, they pump their own product. MNF 2 weeks ago, Gruden and Tirico on separate occasions pointed out the Patriots's LB's and said "those SEC linebackers". I couldn't recall any pro telecast referencing a college conference like that, it sounded very Jesse Palmer and Craig James-like.
Agreed!! Diamond in the rough, would have a case for team MVP if it was not for RG3 changing the culture on and off the field
Then I guess I don't. He's an alright back, but worthy of such a high pick? No way in hell. I just don't see it in that guy. Doug Martin is twice the back at half the price. I just think playing behind that OL at Bama masked a bunch of things. David Wilson had as many yards in an offense that had a terrible OL.

I have Stafford, Martin, and Reggie Wayne who all combined for less than 15 points. Each player had their season low last week, conveniently in the semi-finals.
That's FF for you.....
Dude, TRich is a frickin' beast. Period. Will be a 6-7 time pro bowler if he stays healthy. Rare combo of size, speed, vision, moves.
I luckily had my week like that in the last of the regular season. All 9 of my players unperformed projected totals (scored 49 less than projected). That win would've given me the 1 seed but I was locked in regardless. My team has rolled in the first two playoff rounds and now I'm in the championship. Fortunate timing- so far.
I hope you are right, but I just don't see that from what i've seen from him at Bama and in the NFL.
I guess people didn't see him carry 5-6 redskins into the endzone on the goal line last week.
