You say this, but some people think that being hard and talking S is how you deal with a conflict. Being the tough guy is how you earn respect, not by being an adult. So a guy who tweets that is really reacting to a conflict the only way he knows how. You can either buck up in his face and talk S right back, or you can be the bigger man and act like an adult should. Don't take "fvck Tech" too personally. It's childish and bush-league, but it's probably the only way he knows how to deal with issues.
This is actually a good idea. Too bad our coaching staff doesn't have a "suggestion box" because I think this is something that could really help.
I don't really care about the history of how this guy came to dislike Tech, and my perspective isn't clouded it all. My perspective is to see the university that we all love succeed in academics and in sports. That includes seeing the players and coaches succeed. That's what is really important, right? Seeing that the younger generations grow to become successful contributors to society and to place them in a position to achieve that goal?
How does this guy's actions serve the best interests of the recruit? The recruit was excited about receiving a scholarship from us and the guy pissed all over his excitement. It became about him rather than the recruit. That's not serving the recruit's interest and enabling him to make the best decision for his future. VT may or may not be the recruit's best environment to be successful, but foreclosing that possibility based on one dude's ego is pretty pathetic.
This post got started because once again someone had to come on here and crap on the fanbase. It's getting old and annoying, especially because VT fans strongly support their university and their football program. We travel everywhere and fill up Lane stadium for a large majority of the home games. Stop blaming us for being the primary problem in this recruiting mess. The guy who put his interest before the recruit's and had his ego hurt shares culpability, and it's only hurting the recruit.
I suggest the coaches get a suggestion box...TIC
Could anyone fill me in on what happened?
In fact, could anyone fill me on our recruiting this season? I have missed everything.
Nvm, I have been filled in.
