Observation- Many more horses asses in the world than there are horses
VT has oft specialized in a recruiting players that are "sleepers" Some of them work out well- Dont think Frank is doing the same with his hiring
I was always concerned that Pep would be a short term play at VT .....seems to be an ambitious guy......unless he wanted to gamble/invest and have an inside shot at the head coaching gig
Was excited like most everyone else but wondered how soon we would have to go hunting again!

if pep succeeded at VT enough to move to a HC position somewhere that would mean our offense would have drastically improved, which I was fine with over a 2 season stretch.
Bringing in a guy who failed to make any improvement at SDSU offensively and was fired at Kansas is a lose/lose situation for VT. Especially after making it known they were going after a high profile coach like Pep.
