“We, the undersigned presidents of the Atlantic Coast Conference, wish to express our commitment to preserve and protect the future of our outstanding league. We want to be clear that the speculation about ACC schools in negotiations or considering alternatives to the ACC are totally false. The presidents of the ACC are united in our commitment to a strong and enduring conference. The ACC has long been a leader in intercollegiate athletics, both academically and athletically, and the constitution of our existing and future member schools will maintain the ACC’s position as one of the nation’s premier conferences.”

"ACC’s position as one of the nation’s premier conferences.”
Wonder if Dr. Phil's people have them booked yet for an upcoming segment on being in denial.

So....I guess that means the ACC is ready to implode for sure.......
We need a wanking smiley
A lot of kids sign the prom promise and still booze it up come prom night
Yeah I mean this definitely doesn't look good, but it isn't as if one of the presidents would be like. Umm guys I can't sign this we are planning on leaving soon.
possibly, but i'm now officially ignoring all rumors.
Hmmmm... I didn't realize the Notre Dame signature was on there... I know about the deal, but I wasn't aware that Notre Dame's prez was "in" the ACC enough that he would warrant a signature block.
It's as you would expect. Also agree that ND is not yet a member of the conference. Nobody knows the truth, not even the guys who signed this thing.
I really have a feeling this is b/s by the ACC
I got a feeling iyou are correct. It also indicates a little desperation imo.
Yea when you have to come out with a statement like this to reassure fans that your conference does not suck and you are doing everything you can to keep it from sucking.(even though we know different) People are nervous and worried.
Res ipsa loquitur...Let the good times roll
This is the equivalent of a University AD giving it's embattled head coach a public "vote of confidence" midseason. Curtains.
The Acc should do this once a month.
No, officer,I did not have anything to drink.
The check is in the mail.
No, that doesn't make your butt look big.
I did not have sexual relations with that woman.
At least 3-5 signed using one of those disappearing ink pens like I had as a kid.
Need two things. 1. UMD $ decision. 2. The Big 12 to connect the $ dots for FSU.
both academically and athletically,
I am sick of this line.....
