Watching Stanford and their dominating OL reminds me of what VT use to be until our coaches went into retirement and allowed our players to get soft. And imagine the play of their freshman QB Hogan. Good thing he doesn't have O'Cain as his coach - he would regress something terrible under the QB coaching that Beamer permits. Logan could have been this good.

THE ONLY THING I'M ADDICTED TO IS WINNING--CHARLIE SHEEN
I think there is a little revisionist history going on with how people are remembering our oline. We have had some good ones, but I don't know if I'd use the word dominating about anything our offense has ever been.
I agree with you. We had a decent OL, not a dominating one in '98-'99. Our best line over the past 20 yrs was likely '95.
That 95 team was good, aside from the two eggs they laid against BC and Cinci. I think the problem is we watch highlight videos from the old days, and we think we did that stuff on every play. Trust me, we didn't. I remember the painful draw play up the middle on 3rd and long sing bustles go to play, the losses to temple and Miami university of Ohio, lots of games where we were cursing the play calling, and lots of point totals in the low 20's or high teens.
