Smart move by Weaver. Playing in Norfolk once in a while isn't a bad idea.
NORFOLK Virginia Tech has agreed to a three-game football series with Old Dominion, including a contest in Norfolk in 2018 that will give the Monarchs their first home game with an ACC school, officials said Monday.
Clock is ticking on how long it takes London to schedule a 2 for 1 with ODU. (Except 2 games will be in Norfolk...)
Welcome to the Terror Dome, baby! Welcome to the Terror Dome!
He might want to think about that. It probably wouldn't be good for UVA's 757 recruiting to lose 3 games to ODU.
On a similar note, I was browsing the 247 Composite rankings and noticed that ODU was ranked 91. Right behind Syracuse and ahead of Louisville...lol.
ODU said VT is the only school they would do a 2 for 1 deal with. And they will only do it this one time!
ACC! ACC! ACC!
The T-breds have a few years to come up with a much more creative "no ride" excuse.
He wouldn't be there long enough to see it happen
ODU is already the heavy favorite for all three games, as they will be coming off their 3rd, 5th, and 6th national titles respectively by then. This, from all the ODU fans I've spoken to.
They will have to make sure there is another big recruting weekend somewhere else...but let's face it, by then UVA will have at least 1 new head coach and likely the T-Breeds will be off payroll
ODU wants to keep their schedule tougher so I doubt they schedule UVA.
I like his comment about VT being the premier football program in the state. Even ODU realizes UVA is a joke of a program.
Did you hear Hoo got arrested? Thomas Jefferson would be proud!
Be nice. It is more about them wanting to play Division 1 opponents. UVA is FBS subdivision.. right.?
