So I am getting a bit worried now. I was all about SL before yesterday, but now am seeing negative articles which put this guy has basically not succeeding. For example, he coached Tebow and during that season, he got much worse. and we all know he never coached Brady . My main question for you all, whats the differences between Loeffler and Stiney's Systems? What can we expect next year? Shoudl we expect a year of growing pains? or are built to run his system?
Don't let one bad year at a dumpster fire fool you.
Conveniently, when Tebow got worse, that was also the year after Mullen left, amirite?

Look at what Loeffler did at Temple.
Addaizo was a mentor to him while at Florida and hand picked him to come and be the OC and QB coach there: "Under his leadership, the Owls offense improved to the 7th leading rushing offense in the nation (257 yards per game) and 33rd nationally in pass efficiency (142.8). The team finished the season 9-4, ranked 2nd in the MAC East and defeated Wyoming 37–15 in the 2011 New Mexico Bowl (the school's first bowl win since the 1979 Garden State Bowl). Sophomore quarterback Chris Coyer was named the bowl's MVP and finished the season with a 177.4 passer rating."
Thanks to the magic of the internet you can view the game, attached to watch what a Loeffler directed offense looked like circa 2011. This is his brand of offense where the guys are executing his vision as he calls the plays.
We made a GREAT hire.
The Owls destroy the Wildcats 42-7 in their season opener
Tebow didn't get worse his senior year. His offensive line did. He actually completed a higher percentage of passes than he ever had in his career, but dude was sacked 25 times! They also really missed Percy Harvin.
I think the jury is out. Loeffler was not OC at Florida (and Tebow did not get worse under his direction). He got worse when their line got worse. Addazio (and Mullen before him) coached Meyer's offense. FWIW, all of UF's OCs were criticized heavily by the Gator fanbase during Meyer's tenure...even the championship teams.
Auburn was a sinking ship last year and Chizik did not turn over control to Loeffler.
The Temple year was good, but it was one year.
In terms of what to expect from Loeffler, I'd look at Temple to see what they ran, look at the way Meyer used Tebow, and even look at what Michigan ran under Carr, but year one will be heavily influenced by the play of the OL.
My hope? NFL style power running, efficient passing, and a little read option thrown in to take advantage of the QB.
he's our OC, let's get behind him and give him a chance to do what others could not
Tebow led the nation in passing efficiency the year Loeffler coached him. That's not getting worse. He had less passing TD's but he had way more rushing TD's that year. Some media people are just HATERS. It happens when you win all the time and then have a down year. They let out all their pent up HATE.

Chad Henne raved about his coaching and his knowledge. He knows 10938373 times more than I do about the qb position and big time football. Ill take his word for it.
