I think the fatigue was more mental today than physical. To not expect that after last weeks game is like expecting a college team to basically act like a professional. When the team looked mentally sharp, they executed and did well, when not they dropped snaps and lost yards. I also didn't think the defensive effort was what it should be either, we let them rush for over 100 yards, sorry, it was good, but not up to snuff. But such is college football, and I'm just happy its over, I didn't think it was going to be pretty today, and I'm just happy its over. Think about this, UNC smoked Elon last week, with "style" points, but lost this week to Wake. Wake on the other hand snuck by Liberty, but is now 2-0, 1-0 in ACC. Which outcome is more important, the pretty performance over the cupcake, or the record of 2-0!!???!!!
i wasn't happy with the defense either, compared to what we did against GT. But then I remembered, that we rested Maddy, A Hopkins, and B Taylor, and played a ton of young guys in the second half. Probably a good learning exp.
And BTW, how about DADI!!!!
So the continued denial that there is anything wrong with our OL coaching will continue.... anyone that honestly believes that the OL coaching and performance is fine needs to run, not walk, to their nearest doctor for a check up. You may have a serious head injury.
Maddy played. Think Bruce and hop were the ones out on defense.
