Well, when you actually get to 7-8 wins a season we can discuss. Until then it's all just, well.....talk.

Didn't say it was going to happen but last year was a good start.
You're right, it doesn't change overnight, and everything ends up what it really is, so you hope to have a mediocre football program by our standards and we will hand the few guys who you ended up with that we both actually recruited an A$$ whooping every year on the Saturday after Thanksgiving.
Res ipsa loquitur...Let the good times roll
Bbb, people care when they show up. They have not done that for London or his recruits yet.
Attendance has actually improved. Like I said, London isn't going to win the fans' allegiance in two years, it takes a lot more than that to convince an entire fanbase. Luckily for you guys, you have all the fair-weather VT football fans that are oddly enough Duke and UNC basketball fans haha
What a load of crap.
Did it improve last year? I thought the only sell out you had was the VT game?
Smitty, this guy is nothing like Arden, that guy couldn't have posted anyone of the reasonable post bbb has made.
False, I believe I know more UVA "fans" that pull for UNC or Duke on the hardwood than VT, there's always exceptions though, more along the younger generation.
THE ONLY THING I'M ADDICTED TO IS WINNING--CHARLIE SHEEN
I'm 17 so I think I fall under the "younger generation" category. Every VT football fan I know that is my age has no allegiance to the basketball program whatsoever.
It improved, but not drastically. I mean, attendance couldn't have gotten any worse from what it was from '08-'10 haha. The season opener against W&M was somewhat close to a full house, and the conference games against GT and Duke had decent crowds. And obviously the VT game was a sellout, but that's thanks to you guys :)
Most kids are fickle, and will choose teams based on winning. That isn't representative of our fanbase, and you can't use that to label it as fair-weather. Kids that age don't even go to games unless mom and pop takes them. You are basically claiming that we fill up our stadium with children under 18 who aren't VT Alumni. C'mon man.
That's true to an extent, but when I see that the parents of those kids are just like their children in that they support VT football but cheer for Duke, VCU, ODU, and UNC in basketball, it makes me wonder. But you guys are obviously die-hards so I'm not doubting your fandom towards VT, it's just that there are a lot of fair-weather fans that boost your attendance that UVA doesn't have.
I was on CC when Arden came to our board...he was never going to last, didn't have the ability to let things go. bbb is reasonable here and on their board. I'd compare him much more to Joe.
And yes, that guy was just a flat out dumb ass on the BB. Still trying to get the flow over there.
VT has fans that like other BBall teams because until we got into the BE, and even more into the ACC, people had formed long standing rooting interest in other teams...that is changing more and more every year. A good run in BBall and I think most convert all the way. Not being in a good conference. A kid growing up now can watch VT on Nat TV in both frequently, when I was in HS I don't know if VT was ever on TV in the 757? I'm 37
i would be awfully disappointed with just 7-8 wins a year
Welcome to the REVOLUTION
