Wow..... not a very stellar resume at ALL. Best quality? "SI called Loeffler one of Tom Brady's best friends"
OC of a 3 win Auburn Team, OC at Temple, QB coach at Detroit when they went 0-16. Sweeeeeeeeet.
I had emailed a co-worker (Auburn Alum) earlier today sayhing how depressing our OC search had become. He said, not up to speed, hope you didn't hire our old OC, and now you post this!
I dont think that Auburn team had much of a chance. Temple had a really good offense when he was the OC there. Hes also pretty young (38?), so he has a better shot of being a good recruiter. I could get behind this more than Long.
IMO Loeffler would be a good OC, Auburn had bad personel and Chizik sucked when he didn't cheat. Good qb guy and young and can recruit. Better than Chuck Long
Tend to agree. He was trying to put in a system completely different than Malzahn's with three years worth of recruits/players that were for that system. Read anything about the mess that was Auburn/Chizik this year and it's hard to blame that on Loeffler.
I'd have no problem with him at all. He knows Meyer's offense (and recruiting techniques) and how to use a dual threat QB. I hold nothing that happened at Auburn against him (just as I would hold nothing that happened at Kansas against Long). Chizik is a moron
If he's One of the Two left on the shelve, I guess I would put him in the Cart ! I wonder when he was interviewed ?
Auburn fans are tards. Their O was horrible this year and not even God, I mean Pep Hamilton, could have done anything with it.
I like Loeffler and wouldn't have a problem with him being the OC. I mean at some point, VT fans are going to have to be a little realistic in who we hire. I'm not sure some of you all could come up with 3 realistic candidates at this point. OC is a very scrutinized position and some are acting like these guys aren't major steps up from O'Cainspring.
