I wish he would have had more PT before this year, he's had a good year so far IMO.
I think he has done well in pass-blocking, but he struggles with aggressiveness and tenacity in the running game.
I disagree. I think he has been a rare bright spot on this line. He's physical, he does his job, and he knows his assignments. My only disappointment is that he's a senior and won't be able to help us out next year.
It only took him five years to put it all together
I think he could've contributed earlier, an at this point I'm convinced I know more than CCN
His mean streak was kicked up a notch this year.
I still think if you moved BDC to right guard last year and put Painter at right tackle, our line may have been a little bit better on the right side. But who knows. Our OL really wasn't a major issue last season like it is this year.
I don't think anyone knows how to behave in this OL blocking scheme? From everything we have seen from Shabutie and Papa I can't see how a guy is supposed to have a mean streak when they have to wait for the point of attack like we have read....and anytime we do something well we change to do something the D won't expect....which makes no sense.
I haven't watched him specifically during the entirety of every game on the season thusfar, but I have tried to pay attention to his blocking on a good number of plays from each game, and I just have not seen him bring it in the run game.
I have been pleased with what I've seen from him in the passing game, for the most part, however.
It seems we we are exceptionally bad on run blocking, and look like a completely different OL on pass blocking. I can understand being better at one or the other, but it seems like a massive difference.
